Zighen Aym was born in the year 1957 in Kabylie. He is an Algerian writer and an engineer. After his graduation with an engineering degree in the United States in the year 1982, Zighen Aym went back to his country and worked as a maintenance engineer in the Sahara for Sonatrach, the Algerian National Oil and Gas Company. He came back to the United States in the year 1990 in chase after graduate studies and he got his PhD in Mechanical engineering.
