Moh-Saïd Fellag was born on the 31st March 1950 in Azeffoun,
Tizi Ouzou. He is an Algerian comedian, writer, an actor and a humorist. In the
year 1958, at the peak of the Algerian War of independence, his father took him
together with his younger brother to reside with an aunt in Beni-Messous for
their safety and it was there that they went to primary school. Moh-Saïd Fellag
did his secondary school education in Tizi-Ouzou. He entered the school of
Dramatic Arts of Algiers in the year 1968 and was there for 4 years and he took
part in many theatres all through the country.

Career
From the year 1978 to
the year 1985, Moh-Saïd
Fellag took part in many theatrical films that was produced, before he went
back to his country, Algeria in the year 1985 to join the National Theatre of
Algeria in the acting of a crucial role in the Eduardo De Fillippo’s production
of the movie called L’art de la Comedie. In the year 1986, he took a role in
the movie called Le Costume
Blanc Couleur Glace à la Noix de Coco by Ray Bradbury and he created Les Aventures de Tchop and that was his
first one man show.
Moh-Saïd Fellag took part in many movies and TV shows in the country
during the time of turbulence in the country in the later 1980s and in the
early part of the 1990s.
Moh-Saïd Fellag was the writer of the play called Cocktail Khorotov and
the SOS Labes in the year 1990. In the year 1992, he followed them up with Un bateau pour l'Australie-Babor Australia. After
the bomb explosion during one of his presentations in the year 1995, he made a
move to Tunisia and then later relocated to France. in France he discovered
success on stage with his play that antagonized the social hardship of the
country, France.
Fellag has been seen on several movies especially since the year 2005,
with Oscar-chosen Monsieur Lazhar that he won the Canadian Genie Award for the
best actor in a leading role.
