Early Life
Baya Bouzar had an early passion for singing and she joined many groups.
One of the groups she joined was Dziria’s group where she was a player of the
tambourine. Another known group she joined and directed with her accomplice
Flifla and then her own group where she was the chief vocalist of the group and
was always after wedding reception.
At the age of 17, Baya Bouzar started to perform in some of the main
cabarets in the city and when she turned 19, Baya Bouzar began to dance at the
Copacabana.
