Ahmad Javeed Ahwar is a writer, an
author and a youth activist. He was born on the 29th May, 1987 in
Afghanistan. Ahmad describes himself to be a man who is secular and
anti-Talibanism activist in the social media. He can speak many languages like
Persian, which is his native language, English language, Urdu, Dutch, Arabic
language and Pashtu. In the later part of the year 2011, Ahmad published his
first book with the aid of Friedrich Ebert Stifung in Afghanistan with the book
having the title, ‘Path Dependency and
the International Conferences on Afghanistan: From Bonn 2001 to Bonn 2011’.

Education
Ahmad finished his high school
education in Ghazni region of the country in the year 2003. Later after that he
got an admission to the faculty of Law and Political Science in the University
of Kabul, in Kabul Afghanistan in the year 2004. Ahmad graduated from the
Diplomacy Department of Political Science Faculty in the early section of the
year 2009. Later in the year 2010 he got scholarship for MA in Political
Science Program of the OSCE Academy that is in Bishkek Kyrgyzstan. Ahmad spent
two month in Switzerland, he was there as a research intern with the Geneva
Center for Security Policy, and there he did his first research on his MA
thesis, which later developed more by Ahmad as the first book he wrote in his
career on Afghanistan.
Career History
As a junior student of his faculty, he
agreed to the research program of the National Center for Policy Research in
his country in the year 2007. Ahmad wrote his final study on the Interpellation
of Ministers and the Influence on the performance of the government of the
country. Later he worked with the Asia Foundation’s office in his country, and
he made researches on corruption and common methodologies of research for the
research institutes of the country. In the year 2009 he served as a Lawyer
investigator with the Electoral Complaints Commission in his country, and there
he in company with the foreign and local colleagues reviewed electoral
grievances against the presidential election 2009’s candidates. According to
him he had a great contribution to the invalidation of the fraudulent votes of
the current president of the country, Hamid Karzai and some other candidates of
the presidential as well as provincial council’s candidates. Also he served
with the parliament of the country, USAID Afghanistan as well as Friedrich
Ebert Stiftung Office in his country. At the same time he taught various
subjects of law at the Dunya University of Higher Education in his country,
Afghanistan as a lecturer. Ahmad was writing for Zamzama weekly paper that is
widely distributed in Kabul and Ghazni.
