Parween Pazhwak

Parween Pazhwak was born in the year 1967 in Kabul. She is an artist from Afghanistan. She is also a contemporary poet and a writer of the Persian language.

Parween was born to the Pazhwak literary and political family. Her parents are Ne'matulla Pazhwak and Afifah Pazhwak. She is the granddaughter of Abdul Pahman Pazhwak.

She attended the French-taught Malalai school and finished studying her medicine in the Avicenna Medical Institute. With the invasion of the Soviet Union in her country, she spent two year in Pakistan as a transit refugee before she left to Canada as an asylum seeker. Currently she is residing in Ontario with her husband and her children.

Parween takes the best time in life to be her days as a student and the life in exile to be among the most difficult moments of her life. Her literary works include the modern Persian poetry, short stories amd paintings for the kids. She has published 11 works of art. The two of her most popular published book are Darya dar Shabnam (Oceans in Dew) and Negin-ha wa Setara-ha (Gems and Stars).
