America during the 1980s. The Norwegian electronic music is controlled by
Royksopp, which is a duo from Tromso playing current electronic music.
Popular
artists also include Bel Canto; he is one of the first Norwegian bands that
play electronic music and Biosphere, an artist playing ambient electronic
music. Flunk, Prins Thomas, Ralph Myerz,
Lindstrom, Jack Herren Band, Datarock, Frost, Bermuda Triange, TeeBee and
Sternklang were other renowned Norwegian artists that play electronic music.

Norwegian festival known as Insomnia is focused in inventive electronic music,
and it is organized yearly in Tromso in the north of Norway.
