Biography

Tobias Moretti was born in Gries am Brenner, Tyrol; he is the eldest of four brothers, his brothers are named Tomas, Cristoph and Gregor. He has been married to Julia Moretti since the year 1997 and they have three children together.

Tobias Moretti studied composition at the University of Music and Applied Arts in the city of Vienna. He then went to the city of Munich in Germany for his training for the stage t the popular Otto-Falckenberg Schule. When he graduated, he became a permanent member of the Bayrische Staatsschauspiel ensemble and performed at the Munich Kammerspiele (Dieter Dorn) from 1985 to 1995 and it was there that he got the critical praise in the sweeping variety of movie production.
