She was married to a
director and a producer of the country called Michael Verhoeven in
the year 1966, and they gave birth to the actors of the country called Simon
and Luca Verhoeven.
Early Life and Career
Senta Berger is the daughter of the musician
Josef Berger and teacher Therese Jany. She appeared on the stage of the country
for the first time at the age of 4 when the father accompanied her singing with
the piano and she started her ballet lesson when she was 5 years o age.
She also took private
lessons in acting and got a small role in the one of the final films that was
directed by the auteur of the country called Willi Forst. She became the
youngest member of the Josefstadt Theatre in the city of Vienna in the year
1958.
She moved t the
Hollywood in the year 1962 and worked with the stars like Charlton
Heston, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Richard Widmark, John Wayne and Yul
Brynner. And later wnet back to Germany to take a role in the series of the
country that have brought an obligation for many years in the country.
Senta Berger started her film production company together with Michael
Verhoeven in the year 1965 in the year 1966, they got married and in the year
1970, she appeared for the first time in a movie that was directed by her
husband and produced by her own company.
In November of the
year 1964, she made a guest appearance in the an episode of the United States
TV show called The Man from U.N.C.L.E,
named The Double Affair. The TV show was later expanded and dropped in the
cinemas of the country as a feature movie called The Spy with My Face in the year 1965. \
Senta Berger was the head of Jury at the 27th Berlin
International Film Festival in the year 1971 and 21 years after that, Senta Berger was part of the jury at the 48th
Berlin International Film Festival. She went back to the theatre after the
birth of her two boys. And played at the
Bugtheatre of the city of Vienna, she also played the Thaliatheatre in the city
of Hamburg and also at the Schillertheater in the
city of Berlin.
She played the role of Buhlschaft in the play of the country called Jedermann at the Salzbug festival with
actors of the country like Curd Jürgens and Maximilian Schell.
Since the year 2003, Senta Berger has been the president of the
German film Academy that has the intentions of advancing the new generation
actors and actress in Germany and Europe.
