Monica Bleibtreu

Monica Bleibtreu was born on the 4^th May 1944; she died on the 13^th May 2009. She was an Austrian actress and a screenwriter. She was best known in the German-speaking countries for the German movies she performed as well as her TV and stage roles.

Life and Career

Monica Bleibtreu was born in the city of Vienna; she was the daughter of Helene Buchholt and Renato Attilio Bleibtreu.

 Monica Bleibtreu studied drama at Max Reinhardt Seminar in the city of Vienna and appeared for the first time in the cinema of the country in the play called Ludwig-Requiem for a Virgin King in the year 1972.

Monica Bleibtreu died on the 13^th May 2009 at the age of 65 in the city of Hamburg, Germany after a long fight with cancer. The last film she acted called The Murder Farm or Tannöd was released in the year 2009 after she had died.
