The first novel he wrote called Open Door was published in Buenos Aires
in the year 2006. The novel was highly praised by many influential writers of
the country.

In the year 2011, the book was translated into the English language by
Beth Fawler and published in the UK by the publisher called And
Other Stories.
Iosi Havilio participated in the anthology Buenos Aires and the Spanish
version of the La Joven in the year 2009. In the year 2010, Iosi Havilio
published his second work with the name Estocolmo. His third novel called
Paradises was published in the year 2013.
