Marciano Cantero

Marciano Cantero was born on the 25^th August 1960 in Mendoza. He is an argentine musician and a singer. He is the lead singer and the bassist of the group called Los Enanitos Verdes, a pop/rock band in the country.

Biography

Marciano Cantero was 9 years old when he first heard the Beatles that he attributed the most crucial influences in his music. Marciano Cantero bought a bass guitar that was on the special sale with the money he saved to practice with the instrument, the elder brother was a good assistance to him.

After finishing from the high school, the father bought him a brand new bass guitar. He started attending concerts secretly at the time of the military regime of the country.

In the year 1979, Marciano Cantero joined Felipe Staiti and Daniel Piccolo to form the group called Los Enanitos Verdes. At first they struggled, but eventually became popular in Mendoza. Later they moved to Buenos Aires, there they also struggled to perform in bars and clubs before they recorded their debut album. After the alteration of the label, the Enanitos started their internationalization with the CBS and became popular in the Latin America.

Marciano Cantero started his solo career in the year 1990, recording Luna Nueva in the year 1990 and the Beat Club in the year 1991.

Since the year 1990, Marciano Cantero has recorded several albums with the Enanitos Verdes and also dropping his greatest hit compilation in the year 1995, a live CD in the year 2005 and the latest album called Pescado Original in the year 2006 that consisted of the hit jam called Mariposas.

Marciano Cantero is currently living in Hermosillo, Sonora in Mexico.
