midfielder for Progresso Associacao do Sambizanga.

Jaime Miguel Linares was born in Vila Real,
Portugal to parents who are from Angola. He started his junior football career
with the club in the home town of his birth, SC Vila real and completed with
Boavista FC. He played his first senior team match for another club, Gondomar
SC in the 3rd Division in the year 2001 And left the club to
Olhanense to complete the season. He played the total of 8 games for Gondomar
before leaving the club.
Linares played the total of 31 games for Leca in the 2002/03 season. He
left to join Lusitania in the summer of the year 2003, where he scored twice
after playing 30 games for the club.
From the year 2004 to the year 2005, Linares played the total of 28
matches for the club, Ovarense and joined DragoesSandinenses in the summer of
the year 2005, scoring a goal for the club after playing the total of 24
matches with the club. Linares was with Dhofar in the 2006/07 season, but never
played any match for the club because of injury problems.
In the summer of the year 2007, Linares joined CA BordjBouArreridj. He
played the total of 77 games for the club and left the club in the year 2010,
with 3 goals to his name.
In the summer of the year 2011, Linares joined Progresso and has been
with the club till today.
Linares played his first match for the Angolan national team in the year
2012, and that was in the 2012 African Cup of Nations match that was played
against Burkina Faso on the 22nd January 2012. He was brought into
the match as a sub in the final minute of the game that finished 2-1 in favor
of his country.
