Athy

Athy was born on the 28 february 1984 in Ituzaingo, Buenos Aires, argentina. He is a musician and a composer who plays the electric harp and the celktic version of the musical instrument.

Music Career

Athy’s musical pattern has some sort of romantic, flamenco, the blues, the celtic and the Arabic elements. He is a promoter of the harp music in the country. In the year 2007, his second album called Sabour a Tiershra was dropped. In the year 2011, he gave a concert and a master class at the Moscow Festival of the Celtic Harp АРФАVITA. Athy played the Libertang by Astor Piazzolla. His third album called Harp Seduction was dropped in the year 2013.

Athy has performed at the Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, Centro Cultural Borges, La Casona del Teatro, La Casa del Poeta and Velma Café. He in the year 2007 took part in the TV program about the harp instrumentos. That same year, he performed in Cosmopolitan Calendar 2007. He performed his work called Lagrimas en la Oscuridad. In the year 2008, Camac Harps, France funded his performances. He was handed the acoustic concert version of the musical instrument and two electric versions of the musical instruments called Blue Light that are manufactured of a carbon fibre.

In the year 2009, Athy performed for the UN in the City of Tigre, Argentina, at the Recicl Arte, to promote environmentalism. He was also at the 26^th and 27^thRencontres internationals de harpeCeltique at Dinan, the Vale do Café festival, Vossauras, Brazil, the IV at the Rio Harp festival, Rio deJaneiro, Brazil, the Festival Interceltique de Lorient for Camac Harps' fortieth anniversary, the Great Evening of Celtic Harp, and a master class, the Celtic Music Festival Franco-Italian Celtica in 2010 and 2011, and the World Festival of the Harp of Paraguay. He was also a major performer at the Château de Clisson and the Château de Châteaubriant. In the year 2009, he won a harp in the first trophy Camac competition arranged by the Comac Harps of France that was held in the Courmayeur, Italy.

Athy has performed with the following prominent artist, instrumentalists and musicians; The Chieftains, Cecile Corbel, Vincenzo Zitello, Carlos Núñez Muñoz, Antonio Olmos (guitar), Pamela Schweblin (Irish bagpipes and Irish whistles), Nicolas Cuadro (percussion), Javier Rondó (batería), Luz Yacianci (voz) Gustavo Echeverria (violin), Daniela Sigaud (violin), Celtic Argentina (Irish Dancing ), Marcela Cerruti (piano), Adrian Albornoz (electric bass), Nadia Birkenstock (electric harp), ClotildeTrouillaud (electric harp) and Aida Delfino (Celtic harp). On the 26^th May 2012, he performed at the festival international de la harpe that was held at the time of the celebration of the 40^th anniversary of Comac at Ancenis.
