midfielder for the country.

Figueiredo most of his 17 years of professional football with the club
called Santa Clara, amassing top division of Portugal’s total of 97 matches and
the total of 8 goals within three seasons.
Football Career
Figueiredo was born in Malanje, Portuguese Angola to Portuguese parents.
He left angola to his country at the age of 3. From the year 1992 to the year
1996, he played for three different clubs, including two stints with C.F. Os
Belenenses for which he never made it to the top division football in the
1994/95 season.
In the summer of the year 1996, Figueiredo signed a deal with C.D. Santa
Clara in the 2nd level. He scored five goals for the club after
playing 33 matches for the club as the club gained promotion to the top flight
game of the country in his third season with the club. He played his first
league match for the club on the 22nd August 1999 in a match that
finished 2-2 at home against Sporting Club de Portugal and played the total of
31 games for the club in the 1999/2000 season.
After four more seasons with the club, Santa Clara and close to 300
matches for the club, Figueiredo left the club to play in the lower leagues of
Portugal, sharing the 2004/05 season with Clube Dragoes Sandinenses and S.C.
Lusitania. He made a move to Sweden with the club Osters IF and the club was
relegated in his first and only season with the club in the Allsvenskan.
Figueiredo played the 2007/08 season with FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt in
Romania and the Portuguese side C.D. Olivais e Moscavide in Portugal. He never
played any match for FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt.
In the year 2008, Figueiredo made a move to Libolo in Angola and that was
the club he finished his career as a footballer with.
In the year 2003, Figueiredo was given an invitation to
play for the Angolan national team at the age of 30.
He was among the national team of the country that played in the 2006
FIFA World Cup qualifying games. And in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Figueiredo
played in the three group stage matches that were played by the country.
Figueiredo since his debut in the year 2003 played the total of 30
matches for the country and scored the total of 4 goals for the country.
