Samira Negrouche was born on the 13th September 1980 in
Algiers. She is a francophone Algerian writer and a poet.

Samira Negrouche is an internationally known author and is mainly popular
for her poetry, as well as for her prose and her academic and dramatic texts
and most of her creative writings.
She translates the Algerian modern poetry that was written in Arab and
some other regional languages called minoritiesinto the English and the French
languages. She is also working in many fields like the video, theatre, dance,
photography and assorted visual arts works.
Samira Negrouche gained a scholarship from the National Book Centre to
chase a stage in France in the year 2004 and 2005, and she was given the
invitation to the Arthur Rimbaud’s house in Charleville-Mezieres.
In
the year 2009, in Lyon, displaying with the Greek music player and a singer
called Angelique Ionatos in ‘Without Precaution…’, Samira Negrouche had a huge influence on the opinion of the people.
Samira Negrouche was the editor of the modern day
Algerian poetry that was written in the French language for the review “Ici
è là” and she arranged for a collection of the modern day Algerian poetry that
are written in Arabic, Tamazight and in the French languages., for the Quebecer
magazine of poetry called ‘Exit’.
Samira Negrouche is a member of the international
committee to the festival called ‘Voice of the Mediterranean’ Lodeve and the
general secretary to the Algerian PEN club.
Samira Negrouche creates CADMOS, a cultural
association for the preservation of the Mediterranean traditional patrimony.
Some of the poetry she wrote has been translated to
the Italian and Spanish languages.
