Salem Zenia was born on the 26th September 1962 in Freha, Tizi ouzou region of Algeria. He is a Kabylie writer. Salem Zenia studied in Freha and plater in Azazga High school and journalism in the University of Liege. Salem Zenia worked as a journalist for many years and took part in many Kabyle claming movements. He is the originator of Racines/Iz’uran journal in the year 1998 and was given the award of honor diploma of Tamazgha association in Paris. Salem Zenia is currently residing in Barcelona as a refugee.
