Malek Bennabi was born in the year 1905; he died in the year 1973. He was
an Algerian writer and a philosopher, who wrote about human society, especially
the muslim world with a focus on the reasons behind the fall of the muslim
civilization. Malek Bennabi is mostly popular for the concept of coloniability
that is the inner ability of some society to be colonized.

Education
Malek Bennabi was born 9n Constantine, educated in Paris and Algiers in
engineering. Later he based himself in Cairo, and it was there that he spent
much of his time toiling through history, philosophy as well as sociology. In
the year 1963, after he had made his move back to his country, Malek Bennabi
saw the contemporary science and technological civilizations pleat before his
own eyes. And that made him to wonder on the question of culture in the early
part of the 19th century. The approach he took was very simpke,
which is not mimicking what had been found before his time, instead, looking
for the things that make up the essence of the culture and the birth of
civilization.
Malek Bennabi wrote over 25 books, and all his books were written between
the year 1964 and the year 1973.
