Fadhila El Farouk

Biography

Fadhila El Farouk was raised in Constantine, Algeria, speaking Berber. She got her baccalaureate degree in the year 1987 and joined the mathematics department and the faculty of Medicine at the University of Batna for 2 years. She went back to the University of Constantine and joined the Institute of Literature and it was there that she discovered her writing ability. She received her own show on the National Station of Constantine called ‘Ports of Creativity’. In the written press, she started as the assistant in the An-nasr newspaper. At the time of her second year in the year university, she became a journalist at the Hayat newspaper of the state, Constantine and she graduated from the university in the year 1993.

In the year 1994, she completed her certificate and rejoined the University of Constantine. She made a move to Beirut in October of the year 1995, immediately after the civil war of the country. She met with a poet called Paul Shaoul, who guided her as a writer. At the end of the year 1996, Fadhila El Farouk joined the Al Kifah Al Arabi newspaper and served there for a year. in the year 1997, she self-published a book called A moment of Stolen Love and also another book titled, The Mood of a Teenager in the Farabi publishing house in Beirut. The book she wrote called The Feminine Shame was not published until after two years, but the book was accepted by the publishing house of Riad Risn with the help of a poet and a writer, Emad Al-Abdallah.

In the year 2005, Fadhila El Farouk published the novel called ‘The Discovery of Desire’ and in the year 2010, Fadhila El Farouk published ‘Region of Fear’, and the both book were published with the Riyad Al Rayes of Beirut.
