Amokrane «Da Mokrane» Oualiken was born on the 6th April 1933; he died on the 22nd June 2010. He was an Algerian professional footballer and manager.

Amokrane Oualiken was born in Ben Aknoun, Alger, Algeria. He was a member of the Algerian FLN team and he played the role of an attacking midfielder on the left wing of the pitch for the Algerian national team and for the clubs he played for.

Club Career

From the year 1945 to the year 1950, he played for ES Ben Aknoun junior.

From the year 1950 to the year 1951, he was with the junior team of MC Alger.

He made his way through to the senior team of the club in the year 1951 and left the club in the year 1952 to Corporative Hussein Dey.

In the year 1953, he joined FSGT Seine-Saint-Denis and played with the club till the year 1954.

From the year 1954 to the year 1955, Amokrane Oualiken played for Tours FC.

He made a move to LB Chateauroux in the year 1955 and left the club in the year 1956.

From the year 1956 to the year 1957, Amokrane Oualiken was with FC Chartres.

Amokrane Oualiken joined Nimes Olympique in the year 1957 and left the club back to MC Alger in the year 1962 where he played for a year before making a switch to a neighboring rival, USM Alger in the year 1963. He was with the club until the year 1969.

He played the total of five games for the Algerian national team.

Coaching Career

From the year 1967 to the year 1969, Amokrane Oualiken was the manager of USM Alger.

He coached ES Ben Aknoun from the year 1969 to the year 1970.

He became the manager of Union Sportive des Hospitalier d’Alger in the year 1970 and left the club a year after.

He coached JS El Biar from the year 1971 to the year 1977.

From the year 1989 to the year 1990, Amokrane Oualiken was the coach of MC Alger and he became the national team coach of Burkina Faso from the year 1991 to the year 1992.

Amokrane Oualiken was as well the football coach of the Algerian Gendarmerie from the year 1969 to the year 1977. In the year 1977, he was made the technical director of DNC Alger and he assisted the club to climb from the amateur divisions to the top flight and they won the Algerian Cup in the year 1982.
