Amar Rouaï was born on the 3rd March 1932 in Setif. He is a
former Algerian international football player and coach. He was a member of the
FLN football team of the country from the year 1958 to the year 1962.
Amar Rouaï started his football career with the club, MC El Eulma. He
played his first match with the senior team of the club while he was 15 years
of age. After having five years spell with the club, he made a move to France
to have a professional football career.
From the year 1952 to the year 1954, Amar Rouaï played for US Annemasse.
From the year 1954 to the year 1957, Amar Rouaï was a member of Besancon
team. In that same year he made a move to another club, Angers, it was in this
club that he scored the total of 7 goals after playing the total of 27 matches
for the club. He left the club in the year 1958. In the year 1962 he went back
to the club, Angers and played another year with the club, he played the total
of 15 matches for the club with just a goal to his name. In the year 1963, Amar
Rouaï left the club to USM Bel Abbes.

International Career
In the year 1958, Amar Rouaï secretly left the club, Angers to Tunisia
and joined the FLN Football team of the country in support of the Algerian independence
movement. He spent the next four years playing with the team and travelling
with the team. After his country has gained independence, he was invited twice
to the Algerian national team. He played his first match for the Algerian
national team in the match that was played against a French Club, Nimes in the
year 1962. He played his second match, which is the first international match
he played for the country in the match that was played against Egypt. It was a
friendly match that was played against Egypt on the 4th July 1963.
