in the 80s, Switzerland released a series of metal ensembles. A Swiss ensemble
known as Celtic Frost, extremely recognized for their progression of pattern
and Avant-garde take on most music began in the early 80s such as Hellhammer
and later became a dominating heavy metal ensemble in Switzerland. They
together with a few other ensembles laid the introduction of the current metal
in Switzerland. Associated to Celtic Frost, is the technical thrash metal trio
known as Coroner who were roadies for Celtic Frost. 1980s saw black metal
ensemble known as Samael being established that transformed into an industrial
metal ensemble.

In
the beginning of the 80s Swiss New Wave ensembles established their own unique
music pattern and some of them became internationally popular, particularly
Yello in United Kingdom, Kleenex/LiliPUT in the United State of America, or
Grauzone and mittagesen in Germany. Grauzone entered the Austria and German
charts with their NDW- hit known as Eisbar. Mittageisen released in January
1985; the 12 automaten with current Electro beat. The single made the way onto
the famous John Peel show on BBC Radio 1 and became an Indie-Disco hit. Other
notable Swiss Post-punk/New wave ensembles include The Vyllies, Blue China and
The Young Gods. This is was established in the year 1985 by vocalist Franz
Treichler, the group used digital sampling to make a strong merger of classical
and rock music and became innovators of industrial music. The English
music-press react actively and Melody Maker made the ensembles the initial
self-titled album of theirs known as The Album of the Year.
The
year 1983 saw the Ex-Trem Nromal produce Warum and Welcome to Switzerland which
revolutionized Bernese rock by adding unique language movements and they were
accompanied by Zuri West and other ensembles.
In
the year 1986, the Sophist-Pop duo double became the initial Swiss performance
to hit the United States Top 40 charts with their chant, known as captain of
Her Heart.
Since
the 1980s Swiss jazz has remained to form. Popular exponents of the Swiss jazz
scene were saxophonist Fritz Renold or trumpeter Franco Ambrosetti. Stephan
Eicher is a renowned traditional rock artist, rising to notable during in the
mid-80s and attaining a popular following all over Europe during in the 90s.
