The
year 1973 saw the initial commercial release of dialect rock with Rumpelstilz’s
Warehuus Blues; the ensemble split into the mainstream in the year 1976 with
the production of the reggae-influenced chart-topper known as Fuuf Narre im
Charre.
Later
in the year, hard rock became famous and Toad later created a Swiss scene with
the entrance single known as Stay, setting the stage for the yesar 1980
discovery of Krokus, the most famous rock ensemble in Swiss music record. While
ensembles such as Red Devil, Circus from Basel and The Swiss Horns remained in the
music in a more experimental form, spread the Swiss punk ensembles the musical
limitations. Already in the year 1976 a small orchestra of Swiss-punks started
to change the American and British punk rock scene. Ensembles such as Dieter
Meir, Troppo, Kleenex, The Nasal Boys, Mother’s Ruin, Sick, Dogbody, and TNT
were from Zurich, as Glueams (Bern), Bastards, Crazy (Lucerne) and Jack &
the Rippers were from Geneva represent the Swiss Punk and wave scene of the
late 70s.
Kleenex
apart from the British ensemble the Slits and The Riancoats is one of the three
female ensembles of the Punk year, printed in November in the year 1978 and
their first single/EP with four chants. With the combination of the art-school,
glamour and punk noise they tried the interest of the John Peel and became the
first Swiss Wave export hit.
They
entered the United Kingdom charts and sign with the Rough Trade Records.
