Mohammad Amin Wakman

Mohammad Amin Wakman is the Honorary Chairman and the Director of the Internationa Affairs of the Afgan Mellat Party.

Amin was born on the 1^st November, 1939 in aidan Wardag region of Afghanistan. Amin is the son of Brigadier Mia Sahib Khan.

Education

Amin finished his primary education in Maidan Wardag region of the country and finished his secondary education in the High School of Business and Commerce that is located in Kabul.

In the year 1964, he finished from the Faculty of Journalism of Kabul University. He got his Master of Art, master of Philosophy and his Ph.D in political science. He had his diplomatic studies and international affairs from the Jawaharlal Nehru University that is located in New Delhi in India.

Work Life

After he had finished his education process, Amin served with the United Nations mission in Kabul, Afghanistan. In the year 1965, he worked as a servant in the Afghanistan Army.

After he had finished his time in the Army of the country, he was selected to be the Chief of Protocol in the Ministry of Information and Culture of the country.

Amin was selected as a Pashto Broadcaster with radio Ankara in Turkey. He was given the post of director of information and culture of Jowzjan region and the Editor in Chief of the Deewa daily newspaper when he came back to his country. Later on, Amin served with All India Radio as the Pashto broadcaster. Amin also worked as a writer and a broadcaster with the Voice of America in Washington D.C, US. Amin finished his career with the government of his country in April 1978 after the coup that was carried out by the communist coup.

Party Movement

In the year 1966, Amin was engaged in the establishment of the Afghan Mellat Party. He was chosen to be the Secretary General of the Afghanistan mallet party when it was sent to exile in Peshawar.

As a representative of the party, Amin participated in the World Congress of the Social Democratic Parties in the year 1980, 1984 and 1888 in Spain and in Portugal, in Berlin in the year 1992, in Germany and in the year 1997, in New York, United States.

 He was elected as the chairman of the party in the year 1987 in Peshawar and he was re-elected to the saqme post in the mid-term election in the year 1989. Amin was elected as the Honorary Chairman and the Director of the International Affairs of his Party in the 4^th general congress of the party.

Academic Work

Amin has authored many book and more than six hundred articles that he wrote in Pashto language, Dari and in English language. He is the author of the following books.
