The
Uganda music is as different as the ethnicity of its tribe. The country is
place for over 30 different ethnicity sects and peoples and they form the
fundamental of all local music. The Baganda, being the very popular people in
the country, have led the culture and music of Uganda over the last two
centuries, though, the other peoples all have their own music patterns passed
down from generations traced back from the 18th century. These
differences all make for good variety in music and culture. The initial type of
famous music to emerge out of folk music was known as the Kadongo Kamu pattern
of music, which emerged out of folk Ganda music. Later music genres drew from
Kadongo Kamu, makes it be of the most powerful music patterns in Uganda.
Recently, because of the influenced of globalization, Uganda, like most African
countries, has considered a growth in current audio creation. This has
dominated to the acceptance of western music patterns such as the hip hop and
dancehall. New Ugandan famous music is part of the larger Afropop music genre.
