Hanan Habibzai

Early Life and Education

Hanan Habinzai was born in the year 1979 in Baghlan region of Afghanistan. He was not up to a year old when his country was invaded by the Soviet Union. His family left to Pakistan as refugees and he grew up in the refugee camp that is near Peshawar. After he must have completed his secondary education in Peshawar, he got an admission to study in the University of Kabul.

Career

At the fall of the Taliban regime in the year 2001, Habibzai started working with the BBC World Service as a correspondent and a freelance reporter for the Reuters in the northern part of Afghanistan. In the starting part of the year 2007, he relocated to the office of the BBC in Kabul as a broadcast and an online producer and a senior reporter and keeping on with his work there, he is known as one of the main critics of the warlords and war criminals in the country that are still holding the mantle of leadership. Hanan also is known as a feeling and a kind short story writer in the Pashto language and literature notes. Many of his literature articles have been published in several magazines, newspapers and webpages of the country. Two of his books have also been published in his country and one of his books that have the story of the looting of the antiques in the northern part of the country by the war criminals and warlords is popular.
