and poet from Afghanistan. He was born in the year 1971 in the Daykundi Oruzgan
province of Afghanistan. He is among the people of Hazara ethnic minority group
of the country.

EARLY LIFE
Dawood’s inspiration came from his
elder brother called Sarwar Sarkhosh, a lengendary music player of his time who
was murdered duing the civil war. Dawood learnt the playing of dambura and
singing from his elder brother at the age of 17. After the death of Sarwar, he
migrated to Pakistan, first he stayed at Peshawar city and finaly moved over to
Quetta.
CAREER
Dawood revitalized his abilities by
singing and putting together music by a sense of nationalism and misery in
exile. He did not sing his music for commercial accomplishment, though out of
the reminiscence and to express the feeling about the refugee life that was being
passed through by the victims of Afghanistan dispersed all over the world.
PERSONAL LIFE
Dawood is happily married to Kubra Nekzad Sarkhosh and are with three kids, which
are Saboor, Zulfiqar and Yasir. Currently they live in Austria.
