Other
renowned type of music found in different parts in Mexico mostly have their
roots in others parts of the Caribbean and Latin American music, and they
include rumba, bolero, mambo and cumbia. Rumba originated from the black
Mexican slaves in Veracruz in Mexico City and Yucatan. The style starts in Cuba
and later became popular in the black community of Mexico. In the beginning of
the 20th century, bolero came to Yucatan and Danzon to Veracruz.
Both of the styles became extremely renowned throughout the country and Mexican
styles of both rhythms were built.
In
the 40s the Cubans Perez Prado and Benny More migrated to Mexico where they
brought with them the mambo, which later became very renowned especially in
Mexico City and there after the mambo was built into Cha cha cha which was also
extremely renowned.
