Portugal is known for the music scene for its customs of fado, but the country
has seen a current increase in the musical patterns, with the new acts from
rock to hip hop which become well-known. If Amalia is still the very familiar
Portuguese name in music, presently the biggest exportations of ensembles
include Moonspell (metal), Bruraka Som Sistema (electro/kuduro/breakbeat),
Madredeus (fado and traditional inspired), Da Waesel, Sandro G (hip hop), Wraygunn
(rock and blues) or Blasted Mechanism (experimental electron-rock) and
musicians like Mariza (fado). The musicality of the Portuguese language has
also encouraged non-indigenous speakers to use it in their recordings, for
instance Mil i Maria. Local traditional music remains well-known too, having
been simplified and updated in many cases, particularly the northeastern area
of Tras-os- Montes. Some of the renowned musical patterns in Portugal include
Rock, dance, pop, zouk, kuduro, heavy metal, kizomba hip hop and house; thought
the current advent of revivalist traditional ensembles such as Deolinda which
led the brand-new interest in this type of music.

music of Portuguese was influenced by music from Olden Rome’s musical custom

European custom. Its genres extent from classical to renowned music, Portugal’s
