Nigerian
children have many of their own customs which is usually singing games. These
are very frequently call-and-response form songs, using old language. There are
other songs and also the Tarok tribes that are sexually explicit and indecent,
and are only performed far away from the home. Children also use instruments
like un-pitched raft zither (which is made from cornstalks) and drums gotten
from tin cans, a pipe gotten from a pawpaw stem and a jaw harp made from a
sorghum stalk. Among the Northern children, they used a unique instrument in
which they beat rhythms on the inflated stomach of a live, irritated puffer
fish.
