the New Orleans jazz and the overall sound is unmistakably Caribbean. The main
sound of the beguine is the interplay between the clarinet and trombone which
can still be heard now all over the Antilles musical setting, from the most
traditional music and that of cadence music in the era or the pop sound of
recent zouk. Any current music that uses the beguine as its base is seen as the
ventures as far off as the current jazz it is considered as beguine moderne.
