Asian Music in Mauritius

The settlers of Indian have brought many of their patterns of dance and music and also their instruments such as table and sitar. The combination of Bhojpuri lyrics, sega beats and many traditional indian and also Bollywood-style has made the music to win the heart of many Mauritians that give the rise of major hits such as Langaroo by Bhojpuri Boys and presently the Dragostea Din Te.  The settlers of Chinese have also pervaded Mauritian tradition with elements from different Chinese musical customs.
