liturgical music of the Coptic Church is the Coptic music and it comprises
mainly of chanted songs in rhythm with instruments such as cymbals (hand and
large size) and the triangle, it has been known to preserve the same features
of the ancient Egyptian music. Only a handful of its melodies are identified
and labeled as Syrian (which is known as Shamy) or Byzantine (known as nuga).
