Music Education in British Virgin Island

There are many Virgin Islander institutions that support and promote the islands traditional heritage, Bradley Christian’s St. Croix Heritage Dancers, example, the folkloric bands one of many quadrilles collectives that offers a compact, staged version of traditions along with the educational narration. The music education in the Virgin Islands is mainly based around the Western classical tradition, particularly the groups and show band music, the local traditional music is also part of the music curriculum, quadrilles are taught in schools in St. Croix and Charlotte Amalie High School on St. Thomas.
