The chiwang is a type of fiddle that is found in Bhutan. The chiwang, the dramyen which is a lute and lingm which is a flute consist of the basic instrumental inventory for traditional Bhutanese folk music. Even though this musical instrument is considered to be typically for the Bhutanese, it is a variety of Tibetan double stringed fiddle. It is well linked with boedra; one of the two dominant genres of folk music that exists in the Bhutan in which it symbolizes a horse.
