Walter Campos de Carvalho was born on the 1st November 1916; he died on the 10th April 1998. He was a Brazilian writer. An outsider in the literary circles of the country at the time he was alive, his worked were made up of ironic humor, iconoclastic and surreal themes.

Biography
Walter Campos de Carvalho was born in the city of Uberaba in the state of Minas Gerais. He completed in Law in the year 1938, after he had retired as a state prosecutor of the city of Sao Paulo, where he resided with the wife, Lygia Rosa de Carvalho.
He has always been connected to literature and he at first published Banda Forra in the year 1941 and Tribo in the year 1954 and he later wrote the novels called A Lua vem da Ásia in the year 1956, Vaca de Nariz Sutil in the year 1961, A Chuva Imóvel in the year 1961 and O Púcaro Búlgaro in the year 1964.
Walter Campos de Carvalho died of a heart attack on the 10th April 1998 in the city of Sao Paulo.
