Susi Lanner

Susi Lanner was born on the 27^th August 1911; she died on the 16^th March 2006. She was an Austrian actress who played main roles in the German movies from the year 1932 to the year 1937.

Susi Lanner was born Mechthilde Reif in the city of Vienna, after her schooling, she came out as a singer and a dancer in operettas and revues in her native city of Vienna. She appeared for the first time in the opposite Brigitte Helm and Oskar Karlweis in the comedy called Hochzeitsreise zu dritt in the year 1932.

Shortly before the annexation of Austria by the Germans, Susi Lanner moved to the United States with the husband, Roy Frazier Potts, a business man from America. She stopped acting when she got to the USA.

Susi Lanner died in Dobbs Ferry, New York in the year 2006.
