a poet and a translator of German descent.

Lya Luft was a college professor of linguistics and literature. She is
currently writing an opinion column for the magazine of the country called
Veja. She has been residing in the Porto Alegre since she was a youth.
Lya Luft’s works have been translated into many European languages like German,
English and Italian.
