Donny Correia was born on the 26th April 1980 in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil; he is a Brazilian writer and a filmmaker. He is a graduate of English translation Skill and is at present undertaking a Masters Degree Program in History of Art in the Sao Paulo University.

While he was residing in London, Donny Correia worked with London based Brazilian newspaper called Brazilian news in the year 2003 and in the year 2005, he published his first collection of poem called O Eco do Espelho and since after the publication, Donny Correia has participated in many anthologies and magazines in the country and other countries like Mexico and Portugal.
Donny Correia has also worked on many projects for the aim of promoting poetry and news writers in the city of Sao Paulo since the year 2005. His second work called Balletmanco, which was published in the year 2009, is an experimental prose with elements of concrete poetry.
As a filmmaker of the country, Donny Correia has manufactured many video art and clips in the past 4 years and one of the most popular of them is called Toten, which was officially chosen for the 34th Sao Paulo International Film Festival in the year 2010 and the music video for the song called High Shot of the year 2011 and Mecabea of the year 2012 by the British band known as SEVERIN.
Donny Correia worked as the Head of Programmes for the Cases des Rosas, which is one of the most crucial venues of the country from the year 2005 to the year 2011 and he is currently sitting on the same post in Casa Guilherme de Almeida, a museum in the country.
