Käthe Gold was born in the city of Vienna and she trained in the same city as an actress of the country and then she went to Bern, Breslau and Munch. She moved to the city of Berlin in the year 1932 and she stayed there till the year 1944. She got her biggest successes on the stage in the plays like Goethe's Faust, Shakespeare's Hamlet and Ibsen's A Doll's House.

She moved to the city of Zurich, Switzerland and in the year 1947, she moved to the city ov Vienna and it was there that she performed in the Burgtheatre. Her stage career stopped her from appearing in many movies.
