History
Raul Porchetto came into the acoustic movement of the rock music of the
country in the early part of the 1970s; he dropped his debut album in the year
1972 resulting from the sub-genre’s popular rise in the wake of the
Acousticazo. By the middle part of the 1970s, Raul Porchetto became a member of
the first and extremely ephemeral super group of the rock music of the country
called PorSuiGieco,
with León
Gieco,
CharlyGarcía,
and NitoMestre.
For the remaining part
of the 1970s, Raul Porchetto dropped
an average of one LP a year. in the year 1980, his 6th album called
Metegol featured a very innovative pattern of the uptown-suave sounding rock,
and still being accessible and modest when listened to. The album called
Metegol sent Raul Porchetto’s profession as a musician to the top of the rock
music of the country. In an analogous pattern, Raul Porchetto dropped the album
called Television in the year 1981.
His album called
Reina Madre that was dropped in the year 1983 became one of the most selling
rock albums of the country. Raul
Porchetto became the best attended solo musician in the concerts of the country
in the first half of the 1980s. His most popular hit is called Bailando en
lasveredas, which was released in the year 1986.
Raul Porchetto grew tired of the rock music and with the motive to go
after more experimental and ambitious music made him to drop so many other
albums. The albums did not sell as the former albums and so he continued to
come out with albums until today. His latest release in the year 2010, is
called "Dragones y Planetas".
At the time of his
career, Raul Porchetto earned 10
Gold, 2 Platinum & 1 Double Platinum Records, and that made him one of the
bestselling artists of all time in the country.
