Juan Filloy

Juan Filloy was born on the 1^st August 1894; he died on the 15^th July 2000. He was an Argentine writer. He was also a swimmer and a boxing referee. He spoke 7 languages. Juan Filloy spent most of his life time in Rio Cuatro, Southern part of Cprdoba, where he worked as a judge.

Life and Career

Juan Filloy was born in Cordoba. He got several awards when he was alive, including the nomination for the Nobel Prize. He wrote the total of 55 novels and all of them were given titles with the total of 7 letters and some of them are; "Caterva", "¡Estafen!", "Aquende", "La Purga", "Metopas", "Periplo", "Sexamor", "Tal Cual" and "Zodíaco". Juan Filloy also composed more than 6,000 palindromes and coined words that have been generally used by the people of the country and beyond.

Juan Filloy was friends with Julio Cortázar and Jorge Luis Borges.

Juan Filloy died of natural causes while he was sleeping on the 15^th August 2000, shortly before his 106^th birthday. He always said that he wanted to live in three centuries. He was buried in the Cemeterio San Jeronimo in Cordoba, Argentina.
