Haroldo Conti was born on the 25th May 1925; he died in the
year 1976. He was an argentine writer, screenwriter, a teacher and a Latin
Professor. Haroldo Conti disappeared on the 5th May 1976 at the time
of the Proceso de Reorganization Nacional military
dictatorship.

Haroldo Conti was born in Chacabuco, Buenos Aires. He was the son of
Petronila Lombardi and Pedro Conti, who was the founder of the
ChacabucoPeronist party of the country. Haroldo Conti studied Philosophy at the
University of Buenos Aires. Haroldo Conti completed his studied in the year
1954 and then he wrote the movies called La Bestiadebemorir.
In the year 1955, Haroldo Conti got married to Dora campos and they had
two children together, Alejandro and Marcelo.
In the year 1962, Haroldo Conti published his debut novel called Sudeste,
and the novel won the Fabril award and was seen on the Primera Plana
best-seller list in the year 1963. In the year 1964, his short stories book
called Todas los veranos got the second Premio Municipal. In the year 1967, his
book called became the winner of
an award at the Veracruz University in Mexico.
Between the year 1967 and the year 1976, Haroldo Conti taught Latin at the LiceoNacionalNº
7 in Buenos Aires. In the early part of the 1970s, he travelled to Cuba for
Casa de las Americas. He kept on winning prizes and awards for the works he did
and his novel called Mascaró, el
cazadorAmericano was the winner of the Casa de lasAméricas Prize.
Around October of the year 1975, Haroldo Conti was warned that he has
been added on a list of the subversive agents that was put together by the
military of the country. After the military coup of the year 1976, Haroldo
Conti was arrested at his residence in Buenos Aires. In the year 1979 after
three year of his missing, the ministry of education of the country sent a
letter that claimed the he has retired so as to carry out some other tasks.
