Biography
Enrique Rodríguez Larreta was born in Buenos Aires to the family of Adela
Maza and Carlos Rodríguez Larreta. He was married to
Josefina AnchorenaCastellanos, who was the daughter of one of the most aristocratic,
landowners of the country and they had the total of 5 kids.
Enrique Rodríguez Larreta studied law at the University of Buenos Aires
and finished in the year 1897. He became a teacher of the medieval history
later at the ColegioNacional de Buenos Aires and he
worked with them as a teacher of history.
Enrique Rodríguez Larreta died in the year 1961 and was buried at the La
Recoleta Cemetery. His home in Buenos Aires in the year 1962 became the Museo
de Arte Español Enrique Larreta.
