Mendoza; he died on the 10th October 1986 in Buenos Aires. He was an
argentine journalist and a writer.

Antonio di Benedetto started writing and publishing stories when he was
still a kid, he was inspired by the works of Fyodor Dostoevsky and Luigi
Pirandello. She wrote her debut work called Mundo Animal in the year 1952; it
was a story collection that won the prestigious award. A revised version of the
book was published in the year 1971
Antonio di Benedetto wrote the total of 5 novels, the most famous of the
novels is Zama that was published in the year 1956. He is also the author of
the book called El Silenciero, which was published in the year 1964. El
Silenciero is noteworthy for conveying his strong detestation of noise.
In the year 1976, at the time of the military dictatorship of General
Videla in the country, Antonio di Benedetto was sent to prison and tortured. He
was released from the prison after a year and he went to Spain on exile and
then came back to the country in the year 1984. He travelled to many parts of
the globe and won many awards, though he never gained worldwide fame like other
writers of the Latin America.
