Massunguna Alex Afonso better known with the name DaniMassunguna was born on the 1st May 1986 in Benguela. He is an Angolan international football player who is currently playing the role of a defender for the club Primeiro de Agosto.

DaniMassunguna began his football career at Primeiro de Agosto, when he graduated from the youth academy of the club in the year 2002. He played three seasons with the club in the Girabola before he joined Deportivo Huila in the yearv2005. He spent two seasons with the club and moved back to his former club, Agosto. He is now a crucial member of the first team of the club and it was his good performance that gained him an international call for the national team coach of the country in the year 2010.
He played his first match for the Angolan national team in the year 2010. Since his debut in the year 2010, DaniMassunguna has played the total of 5 games for the national team of the country.
