João Pereira was born on the 10th July 1977 in Benguela. He is an Angolan international football player who is currently playing the role of a defender for AS Aviacao.

João Pereira started his football career in the year 1996 with PrimeiroMaio. He left the club in the year 1997 and joined AS Aviacao. He spent several seasons with the club and left the club in the year 2007 to Petro Atletico. In that same year, he joined his former club and has been with the club till date.
João Pereira was part of the Angolan national team from the year 1998 to the year 2009. He was part of the Angolan national team that played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
