Hermenegildo da Costa Paulo Bartolomeu

Hermenegildo da Costa Paulo Bartolomeu simply known with the name Geraldo was born on the 23^rd November 1991. He is an Angolan international football player who is currently playing the role of a midfielder for the club Coritiba in the Brazilian Serie A.

Geraldo was born in Luanda. He started his football career in the year 2009. He played for Noberto de Castro in the year 2009 and that same year, he made a move to Rio Claro and played in the 2009 Copa Sao Paulo de Juniores. He left the club in the year and joined Coritiba.

In July of the year 2009, after he had been closely observed by the head coach Rene Simoes in a friendly match that was played between the reserve teams of Andraus and Coritiba, he was transferred to the youth team of Coritiba. He joined the senior team of the club in the year 2010 and played his first Serie B game on the 8^th May 2010 in the match that was played at Estadio dos Aflitos, Recife, and his club was defeated 3-1 to Nautico. He was brought into the game as a sub.

Geraldo scored his first Serie B goal for the club on the 20^th November 2010 against IcasaatRomeirao.

He played his first Serie A game for the club on the 22^nd May 2011, and that was the match that was played against AtleticoGoianiense at EstadioCuoto Pereira, his side lost the match 1-0. He came into the match as a sub for Lucas Mendes.

On the 4^th July 2012, Geraldo was sent on a loan deal to Parana and he spent the 2012/13 season with the club. He is still playing on loan contract for the club since the year 2012.

Geraldo played his first game for the Angolan national team on the 13^th May 2010 against Mexico and the match was lost 1-0 in Houston, United States. He came into the game as a sub for Minguito. He second game for the national team of the country came on the 11^th August 2010, when his country lost to Uruguay 2-0 at Estadio do Restelo, Lisbon, Portugal. He played his 3^rd match for the national team of the country on the 4^th September 2010, when his country lost to Uganda at Mandala Stadium, Kampala, Uganda.

Geraldo played his 4^th match for the national team of the country on the 26^th March 2011, when his country won Kenya, 2-1 at Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi, Kenya.

Geraldo was part of the Angolan national team that played in the 2013 African Cup of Nations campaign, and he played in three matches for the country. The 1^st is the match that was played against Morocco on the 19^th January, the2^nd match was played against South Africa on the 23^rd January and the 3^rd match was played against Cape Verde on the 27^th January.
