born on the 12th March 1988 in Geneva, Switzerland. He is a
Swiss-Angolan football player who is currently playing the role of a defender
for the club, Oldham Athletic.

Football Career
GenséricKusunga started
his football career with the club, Servette, and he passed through the youth
academy of the club to the senior team of the club. He played the total of 17
matches for the club in the Swiss 1. Liga and scored just a goal for the club.
He played the total of 65 challenge league matches for the club and bagged 5
goals at his five-year term with the club.
In May 2010, before the 2010-11
season of the Swiss Super League season started, GenséricKusunga signed
a deal with Swiss Super League club called Basel and was given the number 21
shirt of the club. He played his first match for the club on the 20th
July 2010, coming into the match that was played against FC Zurich on the 46th
minute of the game, and the game finished 3-2 in favor of the home team, Basel.
At the end of the 2011/12 season with the club, GenséricKusunga won
the double trophy with the club; League Championship and the Swiss Cup.
GenséricKusunga was
with Basel from the year 2010 to the year 2013. In the 2012/13 season, he was
sent on a loan deal to Servette, where he played the total of 19 matches for
the club.
GenséricKusunga signed
a deal with Oldham Athletic in the year 2013 for just a year with the provision
of extending the deal at the end of the season.
He scored his first league goal of
the club on the 25th January 2014 and that is a goal that can never
be forgotten by the fans of the club for many years to come.
After the remarkable goal he scored
in the match that was played against Peterborough United in the extra time of
the game making the game finish 5-4 after being 3-0 and 4-2 down during the
match, he extended his contract with the club to stay with the club till the
end of the 2014/15 season.
In the year 2009, GenséricKusunga was
called twice for the U-21 national team of Switzerland, but he never played any
match for the team. He played his first match for the Angolan national team in
the year 2013.
