António Dias Cardoso was born in the year 1933; he died on the 24th
June 2006. He worked as the president of the Democratic Movement of Angola,
until he joined MPLA in the year 1975.

He was born in Luanda. António Dias Cardoso was arrested in the year 1961
by the Portuguese Secret Police and exiled to Cape Verde. He died of prostate
cancer in Portugal. He worked as the editor of the Progresso newspaper of
Progresso newspaper of the MPLA after the independence of the country. He is
the author of several books and poetry, including Poemas de Circunsrtancia in
the year 1961, Panfleto in the year 1979, Poemas de Cadeia in the year 1979 and
EconomiaPolitica 1979.
