Marta Roure i Besolí

Marta Roure i Besolí was born on the 16^th January 1981. She is an Andorran musician and an actress who represented the country in the Eurovision Song Contest of the year 2004 with the music entitled Jugarem e estimar-nos, and she earned the 18^th place in the semi-final of the contest and that was the first time a music was sang with the Catalan language in the Eurovision Song Contest and the first time a musician from Andorra is taking part in the competition.

Early Life

Marta Roure i Besolí was born on the 16^th January 1981 in Andorra la Vella, Andorra into the family of musicians. Her great-grandfather called Joan Roure I Riu was a trumpet player, her grandfather called Joan Roure I Jane a sardana was a music composer. Her aunt called Meritxell Roure I Morist has been a piano teacher. Her sister, Anna, is also a piano teacher. Marta Roure i Besolí was born in Andorra but her youth life was spent in France. she is the mother of a boy called Julen born in the year 2002.

Musical Career

Marta Roure i Besolí attended from the 1^st to the 4^th course of Sol-fa and then from the 1^st to the 3^rd of piano at the Conservatoire of the country, Andorra. She also attended the 1^st course of guitar and song at the Music School of Lleida and she studies of musical theatre at the Youkali school that is located in Barcelona, with Marc Montserrat, ‘el Sueco’ and Susanna Egea as the teachers of interpretation, Emma Reverter is the teacher of Dance Jazz, Rosa Mateu being the spoken voice technics, the teacher of claque is Enrich Torner, Josep Marina Borras being the teacher of sol-fa and repertoire and then Fulgenci Mestres and Carme Sanchez being the teachers of song. Marta Roure i Besolí also attended an intensive course of comedia dell Arte with Ester Cort at Col legi de theatre located in Barcelona.

Marta Roure i Besolí worked as a technical of health in Andorra la Vella. When she was 19 years of age, she related with dance, the sportive and rhythmical gymnastic and the esbart dansaire. Marta Roure i Besolí did little collaboration in written press and radio Principat and radio Estel. Marta Roure i Besolí is currently living in Andorra and she is studying Juridical Sciences. She is the voice of De Bar en Bar.
